The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints selected Reinhardt & Associates to
provide the architectural services for this facility in the Woodfield subdivision near Glenwood, Iowa. The building is a meetinghouse which was adapted from a standard plan used by the Church. The building is an 11,000 square foot religious structure designed for worship.
Reinhardt & Associates and their team of engineers provided design and adaptation services as well as complete construction services for the facility. From the Woodfield website:"Located on the Loess Hills Scenic Byway, the Woodfield subdivision is in a beautiful and elevated location with panomramic views of the surrounding hills and trees. The Woodfield subdivision was adapted to the topography and natural features of the countryside, not only for the scenic value, but also to minimize grading and prevent storm runoff from the site. The land hosts a variety of ecosystems from Native Prairies to Hardwood forests to Wetlands and Ponds, and every lot has direct access to a walking trail system. Reinhardt and Associates and the Big Muddy Workshop teamed up to develop the 3.5 acre site.
